What's involved in upgrading the chip? Why should I get a Garrett Chip? What are some custom features I can get on most cars? What is the return or trial policy? What is the guarantee? Will it void my warranty?
- Q- What's involved in upgrading the chip?
A Before you go ahead with the upgrade we will ensure that There are no errors reported through a com diagnosis tool. The installation process will mean you drop off your car at our workshop and pick it up at the end of the day. If you live interstate and don't have a local representative you can freight the black box to us, which will be returned to you with a 24hr turnaround. Its that simple.
- Q- Why should I get a Garrett Chip?
A- We are a VERY small company and all we can sell is quality not a company name. Chips and programming software are our only products. With that in mind, a lot of time is spent on each and every chip. We test every single emissions table for optimum power. This is better than just copying what other tuners do. It takes much more time to do this! This guarantees we did not miss an opportunity for extra power and improving driveability. Also we program a lot of non-US European cars. We use these programs to benefit the US performance chip market. Custom programming is the majority of our work, for those hard to fix modified cars. We also offer an aggressive upgrade program for past purchases to guarantee you always have the best chip. We also will try to fix any problems you are experiencing with your current program.
- Q- What are some custom features I can get on most cars?
Some Custom Features:
- A chip for special camshafts. Cams often require more timing and fuel than standard cams.
- A chip with special idle characteristics. On some cars this is adjustable. The idle can be programmed for cams, road speed sensorless wiring, idle crash resistance, or higher AC idle.
- Fuel mapping for bigger injectors.
- Race ignition advance timing. Or timing for poorer fuel quality. Or timing for high compression or turbo or supercharger or NOS.
- Mass air recalibration. For Big throttle bodies or whatever throws the calibration off.
- Rev limit set wherever desired. From higher to lower for valet. On some cars it can be set for each gear.
- Speed limiters can be set to 55 mph or gone.
- Fix driveability problems.
- Q- What is the return or trial policy?
A-We give you a week to decide it is satisfactory. With chips you really only need 5 min. They let you know right away if they are off or on. If you are not satisfied return it for a full refund. If you do want us to make it better should that happen. We will work to make you the best chip period. We will take that time.
Also for those chip copier guys they will be out of luck. If they can break the security level, they may have an out dated program. We constantly work to improve our files.
- Q- What is the guarantee?
A- Lifetime on the chip as long as you own the car.
- Q- Will it void my warranty?
A-This depends. It will void most warranties. However ask yourself what possible warranty claim you would make. It must be proven that any issue that arose is the result of our chip. Ask your dealer. In any event our product has been in the market place for many years with many satisfied customers. |
